Welcome to Jazz From Studio One!





Presented on a bi-weekly basis Thursdays at 8:00pm

The Radio Broadcasting Students of the Omaha Public Schools Career Center present an hour of jazz on Thursday nights at 8:00pm on a bi-weekly basis, sharing the time slot with Jazz Profiles. The students will present programs that follow a certain theme. You'll hear shows that present a particular style or instrument, birthday tributes to jazz legends and shows that focus on a particular year in jazz history.

          many more.

           A show highlighting some of today's brightest stars of jazz
           guitar with Mark Elf, Dave Stryker, Russell Malone, and more.
           Last show of the season. Studio One returns in October.
           Jazz Profiles will air during the summer at this time.

The Live from the Village Vanguard Concert Series presents performances from the top artists in jazz. 

Live from the Village Vanguard presents a concert  with the Renee Rosnes Quartet in September.You can listen to that concert live, at 8pm Central September 15th,  at www.npr.org/music


The Live at the Village Vanguard series of live concerts takes place at one of the world's preeminent jazz venues, the Village Vanguard. Renowned for its rich history and great acoustics, over 100 commercial albums have been recorded within the triangle-shaped basement room in New York's Greenwich Village.

Live At The Village Vanguard is a collaboration between WBGO
and NPR Music presenting live broadcasts from the legendary club, streaming online starting at 8pm Central on the day of performance. Josh Jackson hosts all the concerts; you can also read his take on the events on WBGO's live blog and join the discussion in a chat room. After each show is over, NPR Music hosts archives of the concerts at www.npr.org/music
