Bob Coate

Program Director

Bob Coate has been at KIOS-FM for over 38 years.  As he puts it, "I've been doing this for over 38 years, and I'm going to keep doing it until I get it right."

He became KIOS Program Director in July, 1977.  He was the on-air host of the Omaha Symphony Orchestra for 29 of the 35 years that KIOS aired their concerts.  In recent years, he has switched his efforts from orchestra concerts to lectures and discussions on the Monday Noon Forum series.

Bob and his wife of 37 years, Linda, have six children ranging in ages from 36 to 14.

Besides the Monday Noon Forum series, Bob can be heard weekday mornings from 10 to 12 noon, in addition to our overnight automated broadcasts.
