The 50th annual Munroe-Meyer Garden Walk set for June 10th

The 50th annual Munroe-Meyer Garden Walk takes place Sunday, June 10th from 9-4.

Luann Rabe, Munroe-Meyer Guild President, says the tour features four private gardens as well as the Chihuly Sanctuary and Leslie’s Healing Garden at the Buffet Cancer Center.

Rabe says you can start the tour at any of the gardens and view them in any order at your own pace.

She says the Garden Walk can give both new and established homeowners ideas for everything from gardens to landscape to flowers.

"We say it’s a garden but it’s landscaping.  It’s flowers.  Sometimes it’s a vegetable garden.  So it’s a real wide variety.  For people who have just moved into a house and are wondering what they can do with their landscaping, this is a perfect thing to come to.  You’re going to get a wide variety of styles.”

Rabe says the Garden Walk can also offer established homeowners ideas since landscaping does change over time.

Tickets are $15 and are available at all area HyVee stores and most local nurseries.  Rabe says you can also purchase tickets the day of the walk at any of the gardens for $20.
