Chamber of Commerce leader says Omaha's economy remains strong

Omaha, NE – Greater Omaha Chamber of Commerce President and CEO David Brown says the Omaha metro area has a lot of economic diversity. He credits that with keeping the economy strong despite national troubles. Brown predicts Omaha's economy will continue to grow this year, and the metro area is on track for a net gain of jobs in 2008. He says the Chamber's economic development strategy for this year includes implementing programs to help minority-owned businesses grow, recruit and retain specific types of industries, and increase foreign investment.
