College basketball fans arrive in Omaha for March Madness
by Greg Echlin, for Omaha Public Radio
There were a lot of empty seats at Friday afternoon's NCAA basketball tournament game at CenturyLink. But it wasn't because of a lack of action on the court.
The concourses were jammed with fans watching the Creighton game against Alabama taking place at the same time. Kyle Hyatt, a Creighton alum who works for the North Star Financial Services Group, was among those in the concourse. "Very tough for me to come to this game know that this game was one, but luckily we were able to watch it here at the CenturyLink." Creighton advanced to the next round Sunday after defeating the Crimson Tide, 58-57. The Bluejays play North Carolina.
