Democrat announces intent to run for Second Congressional District

Omaha, NE – Democrat Richard Carter announced over the weekend his intentions to run for the Second Congressional District seat. Carter is an Air Force veteran and an economics instructor at Metropolitan Community College. Carter says his campaign priorities include strengthening America's military and bringing troops home from Iraq. He also wants to end tax breaks for businesses that move out of the United States, and reward those who invest in America's economy. Carter has set up a campaign web site with more information.
