A Winter Storm Warning is in effect for the KIOS listening area starting tonight through Wednesday morning.
The National Weather Service in Omaha says six to ten inches snow is possible with this storm. It'll start this afternoon as a rain-snow mix before becoming all snow Monday night. Snow fall could be heavy Tuesday morning.
Additionally, gusty winds will cause blowing and drifting snow, making travel difficult or impossible.
A snow emergency is in effect in Omaha starting at midnight. In residential areas east of 72nd Street, cars should be parked on the even-number side of the street on even-number calendar days...and on the odd-number side of the street on odd-number calendar days.
