KIOS to broadcast opening night of Iowa City Jazz Festival

4th of July broacast to include performance by Medeski Martin and Wood.

Omaha, Nebraska – KIOS will air the opening night of the 2008 Toyota-Scion of Iowa City Jazz Festival July 4th.

The broadcast will begin at 5:00 pm.

One of the finest festivals of its kind in the nation, the Friday night lineup includes the United Jazz Ensemble, The Sam Salomone Trio and the headliners, Medeski, Martin & Wood. Joan Kjaer of KSUI Iowa Public

Radio in Iowa City and Bob Stewart of KCCK in Cedar Rapids will co-host.
