MCC at Do Space is offering holiday camp for kids

For those looking for something fun for their kids to do during the holiday break, MCC at Do Space is offering two camps.

Chris Swanson, Manager of MCC at Do Space, says both camps will give kids the opportunity to learn about STEM-related topics.

There will be a camp on Flying and Programming Drones on Wednesday, December 27th

On Thursday, December 28th, Swanson says they will present a camp on Minecraft Robot Programming.

He says during that camp, students will learn how to reprogram some of the mechanisms they’re playing in the game.  This means they can change what that world can physically do in the game they play.

"The drones are not just flying drones around.  We have students that will be programming the drones and going through an obstacle course.  So you know it’s cool to grab a controller and fly a drone around, but here we are going to spend some time on the computer teaching them basic computer coding language and logic so they can autonomously fly the drones through some basic obstacles.”

To register your child for holiday camp, the website is LearnCreateBuild.com.  Both camps are intended for ages 7-14.
