OPS board to choose district's new leader
The OPS board will vote Monday night on the district’s new superintendent.
Board members met for an hour and a half Saturday morning in closed session to discuss the finalists. One is Stephen Murley, superintendent of the Iowa City Community School District. Another is Mark Evans, the superintendent of Andover, Kansas, Public Schools. The third is Carey Wright, Chief Academic Officer of the D.C. Public Schools.
The board meets at 6:30 pm.
Former Ralston Public Schools superintendent Virginia Moon is currently serving as OPS’ interim superintendent.
