Sasse Spokesperson Says He's Leaning Yes On Kavanaugh

(Washington, DC)  --  Ben Sasse is likely to join fellow Nebraska Republican Senator Deborah Fischer in voting to confirm Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh.  The American Civil Liberties Union tweeted out on Thursday afternoon that Sasse was undecided, but a spokesman for the senator said last night that he has long been and remains at leaning toward voting yes, and added that he is reviewing the new FBI report on sexual misconduct allegations against Kavanaugh.  Sasse had voted to advance Kavanaugh's nomination out of the Senate Judiciary Committee.  He delivered an emotional speech on the Senate floor on Wednesday night supporting the hashtag-Me Too movement and criticizing President Trump, who mocked Kavanaugh accuser Dr. Christine Blasey Ford at a rally on Tuesday.
