UNO Great Plains Jazz Festival special to air Thursday

Show to present performances of area's finest music students

Omaha, Nebraska – On Thursday June 5th at 8:00PM KIOS begins a once monthly three part series of highlights from the 2008 UNO Great Plains Jazz Festival.

The festival was held in February at The University of Nebraska at Omaha. The two-day festival featured the finest talent from around the eastern Nebraska and western Iowa region from middle and high schools. The first show will feature performances from the high school jazz bands of Papillon-LaVista, Fremont, Millard West, Millard South and Lewis Central.

Upcoming installments will air on July 3rd and August 7th.
