Omaha, Nebraska – KIOS will air the 2008 Jazz Heritage Series Featuring The USAF Airmen of Note with special guests on Thursdays at 8:00 beginning September 11th.

The first program features Grammy nominated vocalist Karrin Allyson. Allyson has recorded Nine CDs for Concord that include many styles and genres including the American Songbook, bossa nova, blues, and contemporary pop.

Omaha, Nebraska – Violinist Jenny Scheinman is one of today's rising music stars. Her new recording, Crossing the Field, continues to establish her as an important artist. It has been released simultaneously this year with her self-titled debut vocal record.

Omaha, Nebraska – Join us as KIOS presents more highlights from the 2007 Detroit Jazz Festival on Friday August 29th at 7:00PM.

The Detroit Jazz Festival was founded in 1980 and has become the largest free jazz festival in North America. In 2007, the JazzTimes Readers Poll ranked the festival in the top five. The 2007 festival was billed as "The Rumble in the Great Lakes" honoring the jazz roots of Detroit and Chicago and a friendly on stage challenge between artists from the two cities.
