Vocalist continues Jazz on Stage series

Saxophonist to appear with members of the Nebraska Jazz Orchestra

Omaha, Nebraska – Kansas City saxophonist Kerry Strayer and selected members of the Nebraska Jazz Orchestra will wrap up the Nebraska Jazz Festival on Saturday night.

The Nebraska Jazz Festival is a non-competitive festival featuring high school jazz ensembles from across the region.

Strayer and company will perform arrangements from his jazz ensemble, the New Kansas City 7.

Friday evening show will be one of the final stops on Severinsen's last Big Band tour.

Doc Severinsen and his 15-piece Big Band have been touring the country to great acclaim and consistently sold-out shows since The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson ended in 1992.

Band has entertained audiences for over 25 years
