OPPD and the Nuclear Regulatory Commission will meet Tuesday evening in Omaha.
The public meeting begins at 6pm. In a news release, NRC officials say they’ll update the inspection and oversight activities happening at Fort Calhoun Station. OPPD is set to discuss the actions it’s taken to resolve items on a restart checklist.
Fort Calhoun Station closed in 2011 for refueling. Missouri River flooding and a series of issues at the plant have kept it closed.
The meeting will be held at the Comfort Inn and Suites at 7007 Grover Street.
