The Circus is Coming! And the Chicago Boyz are coming back, by popular demand! They’re joined by the “Globe of Death” motorcyclists, a quick-change duo performing amazing costume changes, and the ever-popular Tangier Shrine Clowns and Keystone Kops. All of these acts are part of the 91st annual Tangier Shrine Circus, being held Feb. 21-23 at the Mid-America Center in Council Bluffs. The circus offers six family-friendly performances, along with a special “Circus Fun Fair” with the opportunity to meet some of the stars of the circus and even ride a few of the animals. Face painting and bounce houses are available, along with a petting zoo. The Fun Fair is open two hours before the first circus showtime of the day, and is open one hour after the circus performance ends. Circus show times are: • Friday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m. • Saturday, Feb. 22 at 12 p.m., 4 p.m., and 8 p.m. • Sunday, Feb. 23 at 1 p.m. and 4:30 p.m. General admission tickets are $18 each. Reserved seats are $25-$35, depending on location. GA tickets are available without service fees at the Tangier Shrine Center (84th and Center), online at TangierShrineCircus.com, and at all Omaha and Council Bluffs Hy-Vee locations. General Admission and Reserved seats can be purchased without fees at the Mid-America Center box office (1 Arena Way, Council Bluffs, Iowa). The Tangier Shrine Circus is produced by the James Cristy Cole Circus. Circus proceeds are for the benefit of the Tangier Shrine in Omaha, Nebraska. Payments are not deductible as charitable contributions.
