(Omaha, NE) -- A fish kill at an Omaha lake is under investigation. Dead fish were spotted yesterday along the shore of Regency Lake near Regency Parkway and Pacific. The Nebraska Department of Environmental Quality says the fish kill happens each year, and this year's kill was caused by rainy weather that killed off an algae bloom at the lake. Officials say the algae die-off led to lower oxygen levels in the water, which killed the fish.
