Nebraska residents will get to chance to decide whether or not to keep the state's so-called "school choice" law in place. The Nebraska Secretary of State's Office confirmed yesterday that there were enough petition signatures collected to put the private education tax credit on the November 2024 ballot. Nebraska Governor Jim Pillen signed the school choice bill into law in May. The measure provides 25-million-dollars in tax credits for private schools.
