Omaha firefighters are hoping to secure funding for cancer research. The firefighters have started a goal to better understand the relationship firefighters have with the deadly disease after dozens of them have been treated for cancer over the last year and a half. There's currently a bill in the State Senate that would fund a firefighter cancer registry with two-and-a-half-million dollars.
