(Des Moines, IA) -- Two Medicaid managed care organizations are being called out for not helping two quadriplegics in Iowa. State Auditor Rob Sand has sent a letter to the Department of Human Services outlining problems regarding what Amerigroup and United HealthCare aren't providing. Sand says the MCOs are pushing each person to move into a nursing home after they received notices they would no longer receive services. Sand says a United HealthCare member goes to a hospital every day just so they can be dressed and cleaned.
