October is Domestic Violence Awareness month. There’s an organization that is working hard to be an oasis for those who desperately need help to make a better life for themselves…And the children they may have.
The Omaha’s Women’s Center for Advancement (WCA) has answered more than 8,200 hotline calls, up nearly 40% from this time last year. Assisting victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking and stalking and their children to achieve safety and empowering them to lead self-determined lives.
Jannette Taylor is the President & CEO of the WCA. She spoke with Mike Hogan on an episode of “Live & Local” about the great work they do and the fundraiser they have on Friday, October 15th.
