80 Million TIF Approval Paves Way For Crossroads Development

Redevelopment of the former Crossroads Mall site is one step closer to reality.  The Omaha City Council voted yesterday to approve an 80-million-dollar tax increment financing request for the project.   The 553-million-dollar plan calls for offices, retail stores, apartments, hotels and entertainment venues to be built near 72nd and Dodge streets as soon as 2024.
