Anthony Fauci Commends Iowa As Reynolds Cracks Down On Gatherings

Associated Press

Law enforcement across Iowa have the ok to crack down on people not practicing social distancing.  On Monday Governor Kim Reynolds approved penalties against Iowans for gathering in large groups.  Des Moines police say charging people for gathering in groups of ten or more will be a last resort. America's top infectious disease doctor seems to be happy with the way Iowa's responded to the COVID-19 coronavirus outbreak.  On Monday, Doctor Anthony Fauci said he's spoken with Governor Kim Reynolds and Nebraska Governor Pete Ricketts.  The Director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases says even though Iowa doesn't have an official stay at home order, the measures the state's taking are equivalent.
