Investor Warren Buffett's company plans to release its first-quarter earnings report on the day of its annual meeting on May 4 when thousands of shareholders will visit Omaha to hear the billionaire's thoughts.
Buffett always draws a big crowd at Berkshire's annual meeting because many people want to hear the successful investor answer questions. The meeting will also be webcast live on Yahoo Finance.
In recent years, Berkshire has often released its quarterly earnings report on the night before the annual meeting. This year the company plans to release the report at 7 a.m. Central on May 4 just before the meeting.
Berkshire owns more than 90 subsidiaries in a variety of industries, including Geico insurance, BNSF railroad, and several utilities and manufacturing firms. It also holds a large investment portfolio with major stakes in Apple, Coca-Cola and Wells Fargo.
