A Council Bluffs ethanol plant is doing its part to stop the spread of coronavirus. Southwest Iowa Renewable Energy says it will use some of its 200 proof alcohol to produce hand sanitizer. Plant officials say they worked with the FDA and Iowa officials to get regulations lifted in order to make the sanitizer.
