Creighton Student Tackles "American Ninja Warrior" to Help "Pencils of Promise"-He Chats on KIOS-FM

Omaha's chapter of the Pencils of Promise organization was founded in January of 2018 by a group of Creighton University students.  Their goal is to build a school in Laos and continue the fight for global education equity so that all children have a chance to unlock their full potential.  The chapter president is Creighton University student Mike Galeski.

In order to draw attention to the fundraising efforts of this Pencils of Promise chapter, Mike applied to and was accepted as a contestant on the television show American Ninja Warrior.  His episode will air later this summer.

Mike stops by the KIOS-FM studios to chat with Mike Hogan "Live & Local" about his journey into television, his journeys half-way around the world, and why he is devoting so much of his life to ensure that children worldwide have a chance at a decent education.

For those who don't know, Pencils of Promise is a for-purpose organization working to increase access to quality education for children in Ghana, Guatemala, and Laos.  More information can be found by contacting club president Mike Galeski at michaelgaleski@creighton.edu or by going to the website: https://fundraise.pencilsofpromise.org/team/149863
