Enjoy some NOISE at the KANEKO this Saturday

NOISE is the next performance in the Generator Series, a collaboration between KANEKO and Omaha Under the Radar.

Amanda DeBoer, Director of Omaha Under the Radar, says NOISE, which takes place tomorrow, is a mini-festival that manifests the cathartic nature of sound.

DeBoer says NOISE will feature performances by Screaming Plastic, Jesse Langen and Stacy Barelos.  She says there will also be a pop-up with Soundry Musicians at 2:00 p.m. that day.

DeBoer explains that the Generator series seeks to offer events that look at music’s relationship to our physical world.

"We try to present contemporary performing arts and musicians who are pushing the boundaries and doing experimental things with their work.  This Saturday’s show is called NOISE, so we will have several artists throughout the day, starting at 2:00 p.m. and then with a concert at 7:00 p.m., presenting music and sound art that explores metaphors and literal “noise” at the event.”

NOISE takes place this Saturday, starting at 2:00 at The KANEKO, located at 1111 Jones Street.  DeBoer says tickets are $10 for the general public, $5 for students and no charge for KANEKO members.
