(Omaha, NE) -- A former Douglas County election commissioner is planning to run for the Nebraska Senate. Dennis Womack is planning to run for the north Omaha legislative seat currently held by State Senator Ernie Chambers, who cannot run for re-election due to term limits. Womack served as Douglas County election commissioner from 2004 until 2006.
