Free Parenting U Classes Offered by Children's

Parenting University returns to Children’s Hospital & Medical Center this spring.

Sarah Weller, Children’s Spokesperson, says Parenting U classes are conducted by pediatric experts who give parents practical education on some of the most challenging topics related to a child’s development.  Weller says parents can attend any one or all of the sessions.

She says the reason Children’s offers the courses is to help equip and educate parents so they have the confidence and peace of mind to navigate the different ages and stages of a child’s development.

"Some of our spring classes include popular topics like effective time out techniques, mastering potty training (I am sure every parent would like to know how to do that), preparing for your newborn is a really popular one.  We are also doing healthy nutrition for toddlers, overcoming bedwetting and car seat safety as well.”

Registration is required for each session and is offered at ChildrensOmaha.org/ParentingU.

All classes are held at Children’s and are streamed live on the internet so they are accessible for everyone, no matter where they live.
