Greater Omaha Chamber Given Top Accreditation Rating

The U. S. Chamber of Commerce recently accredited the Greater Omaha Chamber with the highest possible rating of 5 stars. Only a small percentage of the 7,000 chambers nationwide receive a 5-star rating.

David Brown, CEO and President of the Greater Omaha Chamber, says the accreditation committee highlighted their work in the areas of talent development and employee engagement in particular.

“And that’s not just necessarily our own talent in our house, but what we do with our members, trying to figure out how to improve the availability and the quality of talent in the marketplace. They were really enthused with our employee engagement work.  We won, in 2016, the Gallup Great Workplace Award, and we are the only Chamber to have ever been invited to apply, and we are the only Chamber to have won it.”

In other Chamber news, Brown says their annual survey of members revealed a very optimistic outlook for 2018.  Nearly 60% of CEO’s reported a stronger year this year than last, and roughly 70% anticipate hiring more employees and increasing revenue in 2018.
