Holiday Under Glass returns at the Joslyn Art Museum

Holiday Under Glass is underway at the Joslyn Art Museum.

All performances take place at Noon in the museum’s atrium.  Amy Rummel, Director of Marketing & Communications for the Joslyn, says the annual holiday luncheon concert series takes place Wednesdays and Fridays through December 22nd.

Rummel says tomorrow’s program features Bellevue East High School’s Take 2 and the East Street Jazz, their vocal jazz group and their varsity show choir.

She says Central High School will have groups performing on the 13th and the 22nd.  Ensembles include singers, a string quartet and a hand bell choir.

"Then we have two amazing Omaha groups.  On December 15th is Omaha symphonic Chorus.  They’re known for their rich sound and high quality choral music they perform all over the city.  And then, MasterSingers on December 20th.  They are incredibly gifted singers from Nebraska and Iowa.  And they are a choir that comprises adults and youth.”

After each concert, guests can take an optional tour of the permanent collection or the current traveling exhibit, Marks of Genius: 100 Extraordinary Drawings from the Minneapolis Institute of Art.

Holiday Under Glass takes place Wednesdays and Fridays through December 22nd.  A schedule is available atJoslyn.org.
