Hospitals Warn Of Wind Chill Dangers

Lincoln area hospitals are warning residents about the dangerous wind chills that have moved into the region.  CHI Health St. Elizabeth officials are encouraging people to dress in layers and limit their exposure to the outside temperatures. People who spend time outside in low wind chills are at risk of developing hypothermia and frostbite.  Much of the eastern part of the state is under a Wind Chill Advisory this morning. Gusty winds could push the wind chill down to 30 degrees below zero today. The cold temperatures could lead to lead to frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 10 minutes.
