Iowa Disaster Incident Period Extended

(Des Moines, IA)  --  Federal assistance can now cover more damage that came as a result of bad weather that hit Iowa this year.  The incident period that determined eligibility for federal assistance was March 12th through May 16th, but that's been extended to June 15th.  The extension was granted by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, or FEMA, after heavy rains hit the state starting in mid-May.
