Omaha Performing Arts announces the return of New Orleans band, Darcy Malone and The Tangle to kick off Jazz on YOUR Green Thursday, July 9, 2020. The show starts at 6 PM with an opening act from Lincoln native Kris Lager and his rhythm and blues band.
The Jazz on YOUR Green concerts, sponsored by Mutual of Omaha, Fran and Rich Juro and KETV, go live on Facebook and YouTube beginning July 9 at 6 PM each Thursday. No Facebook or YouTube account is required to watch. However, those who follow Omaha Performing Arts on Facebook will be notified when the concerts go live.
Darcy Malone and The Tangle deliver a unique blend of blues, rock and alternative music. Malone is the lead vocalist and the daughter of the legendary singer from the Radiators, Dave Malone, and Suzy Malone, founding member of the Pfister Sisters. The band’s other members include guitarist Christopher Boye, drummer Terry Scott Jr., guitarist Rory Callais, back-up vocalist Britney Chaunte, saxophonist/keyboardist James Beaumont and bassist Smitti Supab. The band released their latest EP Make Me Over in the spring of 2017. All seven members of the band blend their personal preferred genres to create their rich sound.

July 23/Farofa/Smokin’ hot Brazilian jazz quartet influenced contemporary rock, gypsy-jazz and Afro-Brazilian rhythms.
July 30/Matt Wallace featuring the Hegg Brothers/ Omaha native saxophonist serves up a night of jazz, rock, and pop.

The much loved Jazz in June series presented in Lincoln, Nebraska will be exclusively online this summer in response to COVID-19. Organized by the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with the help of many generous sponsors, performances this year will take place each Tuesday night at 7pm in June via Facebook live.
