WeBop® is back at Omaha Performing Arts for another fall term of groovin’, singing and dancing to jazz music! The popular early childhood education curriculum for children ages 2-5 and their parents/guardians offers jazz through movement, storytelling and play. The classes begin Monday, September 23 through November 16, 2019.
To celebrate the upcoming season, families are invited to the WeBop Family Jazz Party to sing, dance, meet the jazz band and learn more about the groovin’ classes. The interactive kick-off session will be held at Omaha Children’s Museum with WeBop instructor Kim Lomax. The WeBop Family Jazz Party is open to children ages 8 months to 8 years and their parents in two sessions Saturday, September 7 at 11 AM and 2 PM.
For the Fall 2019 term, “Meet the Jazz Band” teaches children and families about different jazz instruments. The classes will be accompanied by a special guest musician. Classes are 45 minutes, held once each week for eight weeks at the Holland Performing Arts Center, Highlander Accelerator in partnership with Seventy Five North and Gomez Heritage Elementary School.
