League of Women Voters brings election information to new website

The League of Women Voters has a new online resource available leading up to the November election.

The website is www.vote411.org. Bev Traub is president of the League of Women Voters of Greater Omaha. She says the Vote 411 site connects voters with information on ballot measures, candidates, and deadlines. "Type in your name and your address, and it will tell you how to register to vote, where to vote, and various things such as absentee voting procedures, and it will print out a sample ballot for your particular address."

Traub says the site will also have updated precinct and polling place information. Douglas County will re-open some precincts and polling places before the November 6 election.

The League’s Voters Guide will be published next Thursday and is available online at www.omahalwv.org.
