Nebraska Children’s Home Society Helping Children With Special Event-Bryan Braley Discusses on KIOS

Nebraska Children’s Home Society has a focus that's remained the same: putting children first.  To them, “Children First” means focusing on the child, making their needs a priority, and caring for them by supporting the people around them, from parents, grandparents and siblings to caregivers and teachers.  At every age, in growth, struggles and success, children are at the heart of all we do.

Bryan Braley is a Permanency Specialist for Nebraska Children's Home Society.  He stopped by the KIOS-FM studios to chat with Mike Hogan "Live & Local" about the mission, the process, and the “I am more than…” Art Show at the 402 Arts Collective located at 6051 Maple Street.  The event is tonight from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.  At the event, you will see artwork created by children, ages 8 to 15, who have been mentored through the 402 Arts Collective by three local artists.

The art show is an opportunity for youth in foster care to share their creativity and increase awareness about the need for families to provide permanency to youth in foster care.

Artwork will be on display through the month of November for National Adoption Month.
