Nebraska Unemployment Holds Steady, Iowa Fairs Better

(Lincoln, NE)  --  Nebraska's unemployment rate is holding steady at two-point-eight percent.  According to the Department of Labor, the employment rate remained unchanged for the sixth month in a row in January dating back to last August when the rate fell from two-point-nine percent.  It's also down one-tenth of a percent from last January.

Meanwhile, Iowa's Unemployment rate is holding steady at two-point-four percent.  According to the Department of Labor, the January unemployment rate remained unchanged for the fourth straight month but there were about 200 more Iowans who were unemployed.  The rate is down nearly a half-percent from two-point-eight percent last January.
