Omaha police say $10,000 in guns stolen from storage unit

OMAHA, Neb. (AP) — Police are looking for the people who stole about $10,000 in guns from a collector's Omaha storage unit.

Omaha television station KETV says the collector told Omaha police that many of the guns had sentimental value.

John McQueney says list of stolen firearms hold priceless memories for him, because he had built a bond with his late father through them.

Some guns were rare, and others were antiques. McQueney says he wishes he had documented them better, because authorities have told him serial numbers can be helpful in tracking down stolen firearms.
