OPS

The Omaha Public Schools board will meet at 7:30 Saturday morning to discuss and possibly approve a contract for superintendent-elect Mark Evans.

Evans, the current superintendent of the Andover, Kansas, Public Schools, was hired last month as OPS’ new leader. He spent 17 years in superintendent positions in the Wichita, Kansas, schools before joining the Andover district seven years ago.

Former Ralston Public Schools superintendent Virginia Moon is serving as OPS’ interim leader this school year.
