Part of I-80 west of Omaha to close Thursday night

LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) — The Nebraska Roads Department plans to temporarily close a westbound stretch of Interstate 80 in eastern Nebraska so a sign can be installed.

The closure is scheduled to begin at 11 p.m. Thursday and end by 6 a.m. Friday, depending on the weather. The closure runs from the Greenwood interchange, Exit 420, to the Waverly interchange, Exit 409. Traffic will be diverted to U.S. Highway 6.

The closure will let a contractor erect an electronic message sign near the 148th Street overpass.
