"Pencils of Promise" Raising Funds to Educate the World's Children, President Mike Galeski Explains

Omaha's chapter of Pencils of Promise was founded in 2018 by a group of Creighton University students.  Their goal is to build schools in Laos and continue the fight for global education equality so that all children have the chance to unlock their full potential.  They understand their privilege as students attending a top-rated university and plan to use their education to fight for a future where everyone can have a similar opportunity, regardless of where they come from.

Pencils of Promise is a for-purpose organization working to increase access to quality education in Ghana, Guatemala, and Laos. By donating via their web page, 100% of the funds go directly to their school build.  Any donation will make a real and lasting difference in the lives of children in Laos.  It is more than a donation. It is an investment in humanity.

President of the Omaha Pencils of Promise, Mike Galeski, returns to the KIOS-FM studios to chat with Mike Hogan about the current drive to raise funds to finish building the school in Laos and help educate the children there.
