Activists are calling for the removal of multiple monuments at the Iowa State Capitol.  Some activists say the monuments represent a history of racism and violence against native Americans.  One of the pieces is a statue called Pioneer which depicts a Native American at the feet of a white settler.  The protestors are also asking for the Christopher Columbus monument to be removed.
