Nebraska lawmakers are giving approval to a study covering the possible transfer of the management of the Omaha Public Schools' retirement plan. The measure directs the Public Employees Retirement Board to work with several groups to prepare a plan to move management duties of the Omaha school retirement plan to the state. The plan, which would outline costs and timelines, must be completed by June 2020.
