Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Midlands is a community-based mentoring program. They match children in the Omaha/Council Bluffs metro and surrounding area of eastern Nebraska and western Iowa with caring adult mentors. Abiola Kosoko, Director of Marketing and Recruitment, joins Mike Hogan during a special edition of "Live & Local" to talk about a social event for adults to meet current mentors (or "Bigs" as they are called) to ask questions, enjoy a craft beer, and see if you might be able to change the life of a youngster.
The second Big Social for the year is at Kros Strain Brewing, 10411 Portal Road #102, LaVista, NE 68128 on Sunday, June 9th from 1 - 4 PM! Get a chance to tour Kros Strain Brewery, play some games or just enjoy the sun on the patio. And of course, have some beer. A food truck will be on site to satisfy your appetite.
