Survey Warns Of NE Teachers Leaving In Droves

The Guardian

More than a thousand Nebraska teachers are planning to leave the profession after this school year. The Nebraska State Education Association says that's about a third of the teachers that responded to a survey that highlights the struggle for educators during the pandemic. The association said 64-percent of teachers are more stressed, and 57-percent are working more hours than they did last year. NSEA President Jenni Benson said most teachers are also seeing more mental health concerns among students.
