A boy named Jack Hoffman underwent chemotherapy after being diagnosed with cancer in 2011. In 2013, he drew national attention when he ran for a player-assisted, 69-yard touchdown in the Huskers' spring game. This also drew attention to a foundation in his name that is working to stomp out pediatric brain cancer.

Team Jack's 'An Evening with Napa Valley' wine event is Thursday, October 10, 2019 and will feature wines from Stag's Leap Wine Cellars in Napa Valley, California along with heavy hors d'oeuvres.
