Evensong is a devotional service which will include singing of Psalms and traditional texts like The Magnificat Nunc Dimiti, and a new choral work by Omaha's own Marie Rubis Bauer entitled: We Have Met Christ Raised and Living. It takes place at St. Andrew's 84th and Pacific, 4:00 p.m. March 1.
There will be three Episcopal Choirs from All Saints, Saint Andrew's, and Trinity Cathedral joining together for an Evensong Service. The service will be followed by a reception.
Two of the choir directors, Marty Wheeler Burnett and Michael Bauer, sat down with Mike Hogan to explain the 12 year history of this musical celebration and chat about some of the music to be presented. The service is free and open to all.
