(Omaha, NE) -- Omaha Mayor Jean Stothert is continuing to work a proposed trash-hauling contract for the city. Under the mayor's new proposal, residents could place unlimited yard waste for pickup each Saturday for six weeks every spring and fall. Larger households could ask for three carts after 90 days for no additional charge. Officials say the seasonal yard waste changes could require the city to bid a new contract separate from the next trash removal contract.
