Trial proceedings begin in Iowa shooting case

COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa (AP) — Trial proceedings have begun in the case of a southwest Iowa man accused of shooting a woman to death.

Jury selection began Tuesday morning at the Pottawattamie County Courthouse in the trial of 63-year-old Robert Reynolds.

Reynolds is charged with first-degree murder in the April death of 64-year-old Patricia Kinkade-Dorsey. She was found dead in Reynold's Oakland residence.

The Council Bluffs Daily Nonpareil reports Fourth District Court Judge Greg Steensland will oversee the trial, which has been delayed several times. Reynolds has pleaded not guilty.
